M. Jahromi Codes: About Me and This Site
I have spent more than half a century working in the upstream and midstream oil and gas sectors, founding and managing a company, leading projects, and pursuing other energy-related work. Since the 2010s, global warming, climate change, and the protection of ecosystems have also become central to my work and research.
Through M. Jahromi Codes, I share some of my experience, information, and scientific and technical views on energy and climate, mainly through infographics. My aim is to help readers grasp the subject and central question of each code at a glance, then explore its explanations and supporting material on the site if they wish.
During the first half of 1359 (1980), until the war began on 31 Shahrivar, I worked as a drilling operations supervisor for the National Iranian Oil Company in oil fields along Iran’s western border. In my first posts, published on 30 and 31 Shahrivar around the anniversary of the war’s outbreak, I recount those days and events I witnessed firsthand.
Energy and climate are closely connected. The Sohrab oil field and the Hoor al-Azim wetland offer a clear example of that connection. I will examine this case and others like it from a different perspective, asking different questions.
